The obituary notice of Marie Margaret MOON

I first met Marie when I was 10. My elder brother (Peter) had announced that he would be bringing his new girlfriend for Sunday lunch. Of course there was a lot of excitement in the house. I recollect my mother cooking an extra large chicken...not an easy thing to procure in those days. Of course, Marie passed with flying colours and very soon after we had a wedding. So I knew Marie for seventy years! I always admired the way she provided such a lovely home for my brother and then the children. When Andrew first went to school (age 5) I was in my last year (we both went then to the Kong's School, Gloucester) I used to drive him to school every day. So I saw a lot of Marie. And we had close contact throughout her life. Just a few weeks ago we were sharing health information about different members of the family. So it is with great sadness that I write this message. Marie was a wonderful partner for Peter. And I know she was a great Mum and Grandmum! We will all miss her so much, Robert
